Some things never change. Alice's protege Taz (our new Anatolian guard dog puppy) guards the house. Butch was looking forward to getting some help, but is still a solo act! She is a nine-month-old bundle of joy who thinks everyone and everything on the ranch is here for her personal enjoyment.
This year's crop of 34 lambs is strong and healthy depsite the cold spell that surrounded lambing this year.

Spring teases us with the first Robin and the first blades of green grass. By July, a Robin is just another bird, and the grass is just something to be mowed, but for now, the promise of summer is in the air. Sweetpea seeds were sown in the garden April 30th!
This winter gave us a stellar ski season with abundant snowfall lasting well into March. The high snowpack levels will fill springs and ponds this year, a welcome relief after a period of drought.

Hard to believe this will be our 18th summer at the EA. Some wonderful memories have been created here. Dust off your Stetson, shine your boots, and re-live long lasting memories of the old west. Hope your summer is healthy and happy. If our paths cross, so much the better.
